Job Description:
Blockus is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Development to lead our expansion efforts and drive strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the gaming and cryptocurrency markets, along with a proven track record of identifying and securing business opportunities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth of a cutting-edge crypto gaming startup.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop Business Growth Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market reach.
 
2. Identify and Secure Partnerships: Identify, prioritize, and pursue strategic partnerships and collaborations with gaming companies, blockchain projects, exchanges, and other relevant entities to enhance Blockus's ecosystem.

3. Negotiate and Close Deals: Lead negotiations, draft agreements, and close partnership deals that align with Blockus's strategic objectives and drive value for all stakeholders.

4. Market Analysis and Opportunity Assessment: Conduct thorough market analysis and opportunity assessments to identify emerging trends, market gaps, and potential business opportunities.

5. Cultivate Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including gaming industry leaders, blockchain developers, investors, and potential partners.

6. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Collaborate closely with product development, marketing, sales, and other internal teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals and objectives.

7. Stay Informed: Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the gaming and cryptocurrency sectors, leveraging insights to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in business development roles within the gaming, cryptocurrency, or related technology sectors.
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology and its applications within the gaming industry.
- Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with a demonstrated ability to close complex partnerships and agreements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to identifying and prioritizing business opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and driving growth in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Remote work experience and willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to have:

- previous experience in Venture Capital and/or Sales

- notable accomplishments before the age of 16 in group based sports

- 5+ years of work experience, preferably in the crypto industry
